This tree was added to the site in 2011. It was reviewed in 2019. A link from generation 1 to Descendants of Herbert Le Breton has always been subject to doubt and has now been removed. No documentary evidence exists to connect Ambrois to what we consider to be the Le Breton master tree. It previously showed Ambrois as the fifth son of Ambroise Le Breton whereas the father's given name would normally be expected to pass to a first son

Although our 2019 review enabled us to make some connections here, the generations at the top of the tree, predating church records, remain very uncertain. See Descendants of Ambrois Le Breton, c1550 and Abraham Le Breton, c1580 for an alternative version

A further review of this tree in 2020 resulted in the addition of more detail and a new descendant line from Philippe at generation 5, by his first wife

In common with the majority of our trees, this descendancy has been subject to regular review by site editors and checked against Jersey church records. Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records.
