Notes and references
- ↑ Agricultural mechanic at Mechanic Lodge, St Peter, in 1901
- ↑ Marriage record not found. Probably Methodist wedding
- ↑ Amice and his children Jean (John), Amice and Mary Ann are recorded in the 1841 census. Amice is a farmer living in Grande Vingtaine, St Peter. The next door property is occupied by the family of Pierre Le Cappelain, who we believe to be Amice's half brother, also a farmer. Jean (1789- ) is shown in the 1851 census living in St Brelade with his wife Mary and sons George, Theophile and Fred. Jean is shown as 'formerly a shoemaker'. Also in the household is 24-year-old William Tabb, a lodger, possibly an ancestor of Mary Ann Rachel Tabb, who married Jean's grandson, Frederic Philippe
