Listed building

The farmhouse and outbuildings retain historic character and cohesion as a farm group, contributing to the rural setting.

An historic farm group, principally early-mid 19th century, with some earlier fabric. An earlier property is shown on the Richmond Map.

Some sections of earlier stonework are included in the north wing, and the ground floor of the house contains a rare example of moulded triple-convex fireplace corbels which are very high status and date to circa 1350-1450, one of only three known examples of triple-convex corbels in Jersey; it is not known whether these are in situ or ex situ - perhaps from the earlier demolished Rosel Manor.

Property refurbished early 21st century.

Main farmhouse (two-storey with attic, five-bay) with lower wings to north and south; Two-storey outbuilding range adjoining to north; and pigsties enclosing the yard to the north. The main house has a slate roof with rendered chimneys on each gable.

The east front incorporates some earlier dressed stonework including a (early 18th century?) blocked window and base stone from a doorway. The restored pigsties have granite yards with feeding chutes, and rear brick sheds.

The house has a central entrance, single pile, with a through passage. The key interior features are a mahogany staircase with slender turned balusters and newels.

Old Jersey Houses

Not included in either volume despite rarity and antiquity of corbels
