Historic Environment Record entry

Listed building

This mid-18th century farmhouse and outbuildings is a good example of a historic farm group with little altered outbuildings and pigsties. The farmhouse retains some historic features both externally and internally. The building is shown on the Richmond map of 1795.

The two-storey four-bay farmhouse has an outbuilding wing to the east, at end of which are pigsties. Detached, parallel outbuilding to north.

Central entrance, originally single pile, now with 1970s extension to north. Hallway partition to east removed. Ground floor east fireplace reconstructed. West corbelled fireplace original. Ground floor fireplace in north extension has salvaged surround with chamfer stops. Bakehouse contains old oven. Outbuilding has beam inscribed 1805.
