This tree was added to the site in 2021 by Mike Bisson, based on research in parish registers by Jerripedia editors. Entries are found with various spellings of the surname but we have standardised on Romeril

A review in 2021 by Mike Bisson resulted in the addition of a further descendant line from Jean and Mary Jane at generation 9. A further review in 2022 resulted in the addition of a line from Jean at gen nine

Mike spotted an error in the marriage of David Romeril (Gen 7) to Esther Esnouf in 1791. It cannot be this David who married Esther because he was already dead by 1780. Further investigation is needed to establish whether the Romeril-Esnouf marriage fits in this tree at all. It is most unlikely that it does, because the David who married Esther Esnouf was from St Lawrence, probably baptised in 1765, the son of Clement Romeril and Rachel Romeril, grandson of Clement Romeril and Sara Malzard, great-grandson of Clement Romeril and Elizabeth Esnouf. These Clements do not appear in any of Jerripedia's trees and it is likely that a new one will have to be created, with the marriage and descendants of David and Esther Esnouf shown there and removed from this tree
