Historic Environment Record entry

Listed building

Single storey, three-bay cottage of circa 1700 origins, retaining exterior character and early roof structure, with late 19th centur alterations. The building contributes to the rural streetscape. Shown on Richmond 1795 map.

Pitched pantile roof with dormers and later brick chimneystacks - the eastern chimney with thatch stone.

Original west gable apparently demolished, with later 19th century outbuilding wing added. The outbuilding is poorly constructed of rubble stonework and brick, with some modern concrete, modern timber clad gable, vehicle opening to east with modern timber doors.

The only internal feature of interest is the early roof structure, which has the principal rafters pegged at the ridge, and substantial purlins.
